Immigration Evaluation
-Psychological support (i.e., Hardship Waiver, VAWA, Asylum)
-Citizenship Examination Waiver (N-648)
We offer psychological evaluation for a medical waiver to individuals who request to be waived from taking the U.S. citizenship examination due to cognitive deficits. Conditions that can cause cognitive deficits include chronic mental health disorders, dementia, traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities, or an intellectual disability.
An individual can be evaluated to determine if their claims are valid and how their cognitive impairment will impact their ability to learn and take the examination.
What can I expect during the psychological evaluation?
This process can be very anxiety-provoking, especially for someone that has never met a psychologist. You do not need to prepare or study anything before the evaluation. The evaluation itself is a non-invasive procedure; nevertheless, it will require you to be open about your health history and put your best efforts into the administered tasks.
What is typically included during the evaluation?
The psychologist will complete a clinical interview with the client to help understand important psychological, medical, and social background information and your current level of cognitive and psychological functioning.

Is it a guarantee that I will receive a medical waiver, or will be waived from my citizenship exam if I pay for the evaluation?
Your psychologist will determine if you meet the criteria for the medical waiver after having completed the clinical interview, review of records, and psychological battery.
Even if a medical waiver is written in support of your case, the acceptance of your waiver form is contingent upon the interviewing USCIS office. Your psychologist does not have any authoritative determination over your application. Hence, we cannot give you any false promises as it violates our ethical standards.
